The Vallabhdham Gaushala
Our Thakorji is named as Gopala and Govind which means protector of cows. Shree Nandnandan Krishna has the utmost regard for his cows as even when Prithvi went to Shree Vishnu in Vaikunth to complain about Kansa Asura she took the form of a cow. Thus we can understand how close the cow is to our Gopala.

the Mahabharata, Anusasana Parva, Sections LXXXIII - LXXVII - LXXVI Bhishma said: No sacrifice can be performed without the aid of curds and ghee (clarified butter). The very character of sacrifice which sacrifices have, depends upon ghee. Hence ghee (or, the cow from which it is produced) is regarded as the very root of sacrifice. Cows have been said to be the limbs of sacrifice. They represent sacrifice itself. Without them, there can be no sacrifice. With their milk and the Havi produced therefrom, they uphold all creatures by diverse acts. Cows are guileless in their behaviour. From them flow sacrifices and Havya and Kavya, and milk and curds and ghee. hence cows are sacred. |
Seeing the condition of the sacred Cows within Ahmedabad Gos 108 Shree Rajeshkumarji Maharajshree has decided to takeover the operations of a Gaushala for cows that are no longer required by their owners. A lot of times it has been seen that people throw away cows when they become old and do not give milk or become deseased. Such cows either die on the streets or are taken to slaughterhouses.
Pujya maharajshree has taken up this task of saving as many such cows as he can and for this a Gaushala has been taken up. This is near Ahmedabad and the following is the current condition it is in.
